Vaccination Requirements

Health and safety is of optimum importance for all of our pet guests. Certification of vaccines from a veterinarian is required for each pet before admittance into the facility. If your pet requires an updated vaccination, please make arrangements for the vaccination to be administered no less than 10 days before any pet service is scheduled. All pets must have current vaccinations for the following:

Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Virus, Bordetella, Canine Influenza*

*The Canine Influenza vaccine is not a requirement; however, we highly recommend all dogs coming to the Pet Care Center receive this vaccination. Please consult with your veterinarian to make the best decision for your beloved pet.

You may fax your pet’s vaccination records directly from your veterinarian’s office to our fax machine at 724.942.3636 or email them to [email protected]. To speak directly with a Pet Care associate, please contact us at 724.942.3333.

Boarding & Daycare Policies

For everyone’s safety, all pets entering and exiting Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center must be on a leash or in a carrier until directed otherwise.

Check-In & Check-Out

Drop-off and check-out times within the operating hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm do not add additional charges to rates.

Please allow an extra 15-minutes in your schedule to ensure a completed boarding check-in document from a Pet Care Center associate or a grooming menu (if applicable) for each stay. If providing your own pet’s food, please prepare and label by meal each serving in a separate baggy for the entire length of the stay. If medicating, please properly label and provide doctor’s instructions and all medication for the entire length of the stay.

Wellness

The Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center associates are dedicated to the health and wellness of your pet. A veterinarian from our partner, Woodlands Animal Care Center, is on call 24-hours a day in case of an emergency. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, our protocol is to contact our veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian.

Pets requiring vaccination updates must have the vaccination(s) administered no less than 10 days before check in. Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who fails our standard health and temperament policies.

Special Needs & Medical Care

Nemacolin Wooflands Pet Care Center recognizes that some of our guests may have special needs. We encourage our clients to discuss any special requirements with us when making a reservation, including but not limited to: medications, supplements, special meal preparation, extra feeding times, daily brushing, puppy care, and senior care (additional charges may apply). Our caring associates can administer any oral or topical medications your dog may require during their visit.

Belongings

Owners are welcome to bring a pet’s familiar blanket or toy from home; however, it is not necessary as the Pet Care Center is a full-service establishment and provides all the necessary clean bedding and blankets which comfort your pet.

Visitation & Facility Tours

Visitation during boarding is allowed for owners. Tours are provided as a walk in service and can be given at any time during the operating hours, no appointment necessary.

Dining

As recommended by our veterinarians, we feed a high quality dry kibble. We do not provide canned food. You may choose to provide your own pet’s food at no additional charge, so long as each meal’s serving size is prepared in a separate baggie and labeled appropriately, by meal, with your pet’s first and last name on it. We feed three times daily, approximately 8:00 am, 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm. Extraordinary preparations may be subject to a fee.

Cancellations

We require owners to make any cancellations at least 3 days prior to their arrival date, or a $25 per pet charge will be billed to the credit card on file. We request a 24-hour notice of cancellation for daycare or grooming services, so that we may reschedule without charging for missed appointments.
